SERVICE INFORMATION

The propeller shaft assemblies in U.S. built Trucks (except 2WD Z24 models) are different from those of Japan built Trucks. Truck Service Manuals
describe only those propeller shafts used in Japan built vehicles. This bulletin contains service parts information, parts interchangeability information,
assembly illustrations and service data and specifications for the propeller shaft assemblies used in U.S. built Trucks.

Please add the following note in the PD Section of the 1986.5, 1987 and, upon receipt, the 1988 D21 series Service Manual:

"When servicing the propeller shaft of U.S. built Trucks, refer to Technical Bulletin PD87-003."

The following service parts are available for the propeller shafts used in U.S. built Trucks.
PARTS INTERCHANGEABILITY INFORMATION

When the complete propeller shaft assembly of a U.S. built Truck requires replacement, use the assembly listed in the D21 parts catalogue for the
equivalent Japan built model.
