Fuel Pump Relay: Description and Operation

The fuel pump relay, located in the relay box on the R.H. fender apron, supplies voltage to the fuel pump. It is a 1 make relay. When battery voltage is
supplied to the coil windings of the relay, a magnetic field is created. This magnetic field pulls a set of contacts closed, continuing the electrical path.
