3. Measure axial end play of drive shaft.

Axial end play: 0.1 - 0.3 mm (0.004 - 0.012 in)

4. If axial end play is not within the specified limit, select another snap ring.

Available snap rings:

1.1 mm (0.043 In) 1.3 mm (0.051 In)

1.5 mm (0.059 in) 1.1 mm (0.061 in)

1.9 mm (0.075 in) 2.1 mm (0.083 In)

2.3 mm (0.091 In)

1. Remove boot bands.
2. Put matching marks on slide joint housing and inner race, before separating joint assembly.
