Parking Brake Cable To Toggle Lever

3. Shorten adjuster by rotating it. Pay attention to direction of adjuster. Lefthand side adjuster has lefthand threads. Righthand adjuster has righthand

threads.

4. Connect parking brake cable to toggle lever. Be careful not to damage brake cable and wheel cylinder piston boots.
5. Install all parts.

Be careful not to damage wheel cylinder piston boots.    

6. Check that all parts are installed properly. Ensure the direction of adjuster assembly is correct.
7. After installation is complete, adjust shoe to drum clearance.
8. Install brake drum.
9. When installing new wheel cylinder or overhauling wheel cylinder, bleed air from the hydraulic system. See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair 

10. Adjust parking brake.  See: Parking Brake System/Adjustments
