Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Exploded View Of Front Disc Brake Assemblies
REMOVAL

Remove the pad lining assembly as outlined under "Brake Pad." See: Disc Brake System/Brake Pad/Service and Repair
WARNING: CLEAN BRAKE PADS WITH A VACUUM DUST COLLECTOR TO MINIMIZE THE HAZARD OF AIRBORNE
PARTICLES OR OTHER MATERIALS.
DISASSEMBLY
1. Push out piston and dust cover with compressed air.

Use a wooden block so that both pistons come out evenly.
WARNING: DO NOT PLACE YOUR FINGERS IN FRONT OF PISTON.
2. Remove piston seal with a suitable tool.
CAUTION:

Do not scratch or score cylinder wall.

The pistons are made of plastic, handle them carefully.
