A right side door is used in Figures 41 and 42. The left side door has been used in all other photos in this procedure.

The door in Figure 41 was cut in order to show the installed location of a foam block.

The door DOES NOT NEED TO BE CUT to install the foam block.

As you are sliding the block into place hold the block away from the door skin so the adhesive won't stick at the wrong location. Move it
over towards the door edge as much as possible and down.

For this view the door is not cut away

Looking through the upper door opening, this is a view of the foam block installed.

Reassemble

Install the new door latch assembly.
