Fuel Gauge: Description and Operation
FUEL GAUGE
The fuel gauge indicates the approximate fuel level in the fuel tank. The reading on the gauge is based on the resistance of the fuel level sensor unit.
The fuel gauge is regulated by a variable ground signal supplied

to combination meter terminal 20 for the fuel gauge

through fuel level sensor unit terminal G (VG33E models) or 1 (KA24DE models)

through fuel level sensor unit terminal E (VG33E models) or 4 (KA24DE models)

through body grounds M14 and M68.
