Loosen, but do not remove, the bolt that secures the support rod to the front fender/bumper (see Figure 4).

Loosen, but do not remove, the bolt that secures the front side bumper to the vehicle side bracket (see Figure 2).

D.

Adjust the front bumper until there is no contact between the front bumper finisher and the fender or between the front bumper side
mounting brackets and the fender.

NOTE: 

If necessary, use shims between the front side bumper mounting point and the vehicle body (see Figure 2) to eliminate contact. Use care when adding
shims as this could cause the side of the bumper to move too far to the outside causing poor appearance.

E.

Re-tighten all the fasteners that were loosened.

4.

Road test the vehicle to make sure the rattle noise is eliminated.
