Install the Inline Fuel Quick Disconnect fitting between the connection of the fuel feed hose (from tank) and the fuel hose (to engine). See Figure
7.
CAUTION:
Do not over tighten the bolts when installing the Inline Fuel Quick Disconnect fitting.
NOTE:
Apply Canopus 13 oil (P/N 999MP-AJ000) to the 0-ring on the Quick Disconnect fitting and the fuel hose (to the engine) before installation (see
Figure 7).

Connect the fuel pressure test gauge (Quick Connect adapter hose) to the Quick Disconnect fitting (see Figure 7).
4.
Perform the fuel pressure test.
5.
Release the fuel pressure from the fuel system. Refer to the "Fuel Pressure Release Procedure".
6.
Remove the Quick Disconnect fitting.
7.
Again, apply Canopus 13 oil to the fuel feed hose fitting 0-ring.
8.
Re-install the fuel hose (from engine) to the fuel feed hose (from tank).
9.
Operate the fuel system and confirm there are NO fuel leaks.
Fuel Pressure Release Procedure
With CONSULT-II
1.
Turn the ignition switch "ON".
2.
Connect CONSULT-II and perform the "Fuel Pressure Release" function in the "Work Support Mode".
3.
Start the engine and let it run until it stalls.
4.
Crank the engine two or three times to release all fuel pressure.
5.
Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
Without CONSULT-II
1.
Remove the fuel pump fuse from the fuse box.
2.
Start the engine and let it run until it stalls.
3.
Crank the engine two or three times to release all fuel pressure.
