SERVICE INFORMATION
This bulletin contains product service information and special handling procedures for the 2011 Nissan LEAF.
WARNING:
These vehicles contain high voltage Systems. In order to safely service the vehicle:
1. All technicians should complete Web-Based Training (e-Learning).
^ Introduction to EV Safety and Overview (EVTN9901A-OLT)
^ Introduction to EV Technologies (EVTN9902A-OLT)
2. In addition to the courses above, EV Specialists are required to complete the Nissan LEAF EV Technologies (EVTN9903A) and the accompanying
web-based post-test (EVTN9903A-PT).
3. Read and follow "CAUTIONS AS TO HIGH VOLTAGE" procedures in the Service Manual (GI Section).

^ Diagnostic Troubleshooting When Using CONSULT-III Plus
^ Sending Data Recorded with CONSULT-III Plus to TECH LINE
REPORTING LEAF INCIDENTS TO THE NISSAN TECH LINE
IMPORTANT:
^ For the initial launch of LEAF, you MUST call the Nissan TECH LINE to report the details of each incident involving the following:
>
Li-ion Battery Pack Assembly
>
High Voltage Systems
>
E-Act
>
E-PKB
>
EV-IT
>
HVAC (e-compressor, PTC Heater)
^ Dealers will be notified by a follow-up bulletin when calls to TECH LINE are no longer required.
^ When calling the TECH LINE, listen for the appropriate LEAF-related prompt.
^ DTCs with the accompanying Freeze Frame (FF) Data should always be collected for TECH LINE reporting purposes.
