Water Pump: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain coolant from radiator and engine block.

2.

Remove drive belts.

3.

Remove water pump pulley and water pump, Fig. 94.

4.

Reverse procedure to install, applying liquid gasket to mating surfaces of water pump.

5.

When finished, be sure to bleed the cooling system and check for leaks.
