Use the flow chart to diagnose the source of the noise. Refer to the procedures below to perform the actual inspections and repairs.

Preliminary Procedure

A)

Determine operating temperature or conditions when noises occur. This is necessary to ensure the noise can be duplicated during diagnosis.

B)

Determine which cylinder head is affected. This is necessary to determine which parts require replacement.
