Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair

FRONT OIL SEAL

1.

Raise and support vehicle.

2.

Remove engine undercover, front righthand wheel assembly and engine side cover.

3.

Remove drive belts and crankshaft pulley.

4.

Using a screwdriver, remove front oil seal.

5.

Reverse procedure to install, applying engine oil to new seal.

REAR OIL SEAL

1.

Remove engine as described under ENGINE.

2.

Remove transaxle from engine.

3.

Remove flywheel or driveplate.

4.

Using a screwdriver, remove rear oil seal.

5.

Reverse procedure to install, applying engine oil to new seal.
