Vehicle Speed Sensor: Description and Operation

Connector Location

PURPOSE 

Provides vehicle speed information to the ECM.

OPERATION 

The vehicle speed sensor, located in the top of the transaxle housing is a magnetic switch that transforms sensor rotation into a pulse signal, which
is sent to the ECU.
