Remove stopper by pulling two guide pins.

If stopper is not used, align spiral cable to the neutral position as follows:
a. Turn spiral cable clockwise until it catches stopper, then turn spiral cable back approximately two full turns until yellow alignment mark

appears on left gear, Fig. 27.

b. Align arrow mark of spiral cable with this yellow mark.

Install steering wheel aligning spiral cable guide pins and pull spiral cable connector through steering wheel.

Connect horn connector and secure spiral cable harness with pawls in steering wheel.

7.

Torque steering wheel nut to 22-29 ft, lbs.

8.

Install airbag module and secure with new special bolts.

9.

Connect airbag module connector.

10.

Install all covers.

11.

Ensure that entire SRS operates properly using consult tool or self diagnosis. Airbag warning lamp will illuminate for about seven seconds
when the ignition switch is turned to the On or Start position to indicate normal operation.
