Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

1.
On models with airbag, disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ARMING & DISARMING.
2.
On models less airbag, disconnect battery ground cable.
3.
On all models, remove the four upper and lower shell cover retaining screws, then the shell covers.
4.
Disconnect electrical connectors from switch.
5.
Remove switch retaining screw from steering lock, Fig. 1.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.
