ASSEMBLY

Wheel Side

1.

Cover driveshaft serrations with suitable tape then install boot and new small boot band on driveshaft.

2.

Align mating marks then install joint assembly on driveshaft by lightly tapping.

3.

Pack driveshaft boot and joint with 4.06-4.41 oz of grease.

4.

Install boot so that it does not swell and deform when its length is 3.563-3.642 inches, Fig. 4.

5.

Lock new boot bands securely.

Differential Side

1.

Cover driveshaft serrations with suitable tape then install boot and new small boot band on driveshaft.

2.

Align mating marks then install spider assembly on driveshaft.

3.

Install new snap ring.

4.

Align mating marks then install slide joint housing on driveshaft.

5.

Pack driveshaft boot and slide housing with 6.35-7.05 oz of grease.

6.

Install boot so that it does not swell and deform when its length is 4-7.07 inches, Fig. 4.

7.

Lock new boot bands securely.
