a. Adjust left and right rear parallel links to the same length.
b. Standard length is 1.97-2.17 inches. If toe-in cannot be properly adjusted with links at equal lengths, check rear suspension for damage and

wear, and repair as needed.

After adjustment, hold link with suitable wrench to prevent bushing from twisting, then torque locknuts to 58-72 ft. lbs.

Steering Angle

    When a vehicle negotiates a turn, the inner wheel must turn at a sharper angle than the outer wheel, and the outer wheel must travel farther than the
inner wheel. Vehicle steering geometry is calculated to allow for these variations, causing the outer wheel to toe-out by a calibrated amount. This toe-out
on turns is also referred to as steering angle and on these models, is generally checked at two positions. The first position is at a reference point on the
inner wheel travel while the second position of measurement is at full steering lock. To check steering angles, proceed as follows:

Turn steering to full lock and measure inner and outer wheel turning angles.

If ``Turning Angles'' at full lock are not within specifications, Fig. 8, check for damaged steering linkage or improperly adjusted tie rods.

If steering linkage and tie rods are satisfactory, check for improper rack or rack piston stroke and repair steering gear as needed.

Ride Height

    When checking ride height vehicle must be parked on a level surface and tires inflated to proper air pressure. Ensure all fluid levels are to specified
level, spare tire and jack are in proper locations.
    Bounce vehicle up and down several times, then measure vehicle height from top of wheelwell to ground as shown in Fig. 9. Vehicle height is not
adjustable. If vehicle height is not as specified, check for worn springs or suspension parts. Vehicle ride heights are as follows:

On 1990-92 Maxima models, vehicle ride height should be 27.72 inches in the front of vehicle and 27.13 inches in the rear of vehicle.

2.

On 1990-92 300ZX models, vehicle ride height should be 26.57 inches in the front, and 26.61 inches in the rear.
