Rotate the pump when it has been assembled to ensure that all parts have been correctly assembled.

Install seal rings.

Note:  These seal rings can be cut or deformed if they are improperly seated in their grooves when the drum is installed. Clean the ring grooves
carefully and fill them with petroleum jelly. Then install the rings making sure they fit into the grooves as tightly as possible.
