SERVICE INFORMATION:
Some Maxima vehicles, within the Applied VIN, may exhibit slow power window operation. The window may move slowly going down and even slower
coming up. In some cases, the window may stop moving while going up and trip the circuit breaker. This incident may be more apparent when the
ambient temperature is cold. It can be caused by excessive friction on the glass run rubber; the friction increases with lower ambient temperature and
high vehicle mileage.
In some cases, the condition may be temporarily resolved by the warming up of the glass run rubber, such as by performing service on the vehicle, inside
a heated service area. However, this incident will likely return as soon as the vehicle is exposed to cold ambient temperatures.
The condition may be identified by sliding the door glass in the glass run rubber with the window regulator disconnected from the door glass. If it
requires high force to slide the door glass up and down, the excessive friction is caused by the glass run rubber. Once the condition has been identified,
replace the glass run rubber on the affected door window with a countermeasure part.
