14. Make sure you replace the 2 lip seals shown in Figure 11.

^ Do not reuse the old lip seals.

^ Use petroleum jelly to keep the new lip seals in place during reassembly.

Install the replacement Control Valve Assembly:

15. Carefully install the new control valve assembly and shift link with the fork end of the shift link around the pin (see Figure 12).

16. While you are doing Step 15 above, the lower end of the shift link must stick through the bottom of the step motor pin as shown in Figure 13.

17. Install finger tight the 11 control valve assembly bolts removed in Step 12.
