A.

Push in (at two locations) on the upper cover panel as shown in Figure 5 to pop apart the upper and lower cover panels.

B.

Once popped apart, lift up the upper cover to remove it.

Place a clean shop rag across the top of the exposed steering column/combination switches (see Figure 6) to prevent scratching other components
as they are removed.

NOTE: 

The following step ONLY applies to vehicles equipped with the Navigation system.

Carefully pull out the rear window defogger switch from the right side of the instrument panel bezel (see Figure 7) and disconnect its wire harness
connector. Place the switch in a safe place.

Reposition the instrument panel bezel as follows;
