Loosen ONLY (do not remove) the two steering column support nuts (see Figure 3).

Carefully lower the steering column making sure;

It does not rest on any wire harnesses

^

It does not pinch or damage any wire harnesses or surrounding components

8.

Remove one screw from the lower steering column cover panel closest to the ignition key lock cylinder (see Figure 4).

NOTE:

Do not remove the two screws closest to the steering wheel (see Figure 4).

9.

Remove the upper steering column cover panel as follows;

IMPORTANT:

Do not use a pry tool to separate the upper and lower cover panels as permanent damage can occur. Follow the below procedure to properly
separate them.
