Use CONSULT-II to erase DTC P0228 and/or P1228 from "Self Diagnosis Results."

4.

With ignition "ON" but with engine not running, fully depress the accelerator to the floor in Wide Open Throttle and hold for 5 seconds.

5.

Use CONSULT-II to check if DTC P0228 and/or P1228 is stored in "Self Diagnosis Results."

If the code(s) is not stored, the procedure is complete.

If the code(s) is stored, use the Diagnostic Procedure for DTC P0228 and/or P1228 from the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) to further
investigate.
