3.

Adjust the striker downward to eliminate trunk lid free-play. Temporarily tighten the bolts.

4.

Close the trunk lid and verify the free-play is eliminated. Ensure the trunk lid sits flush with the fender edges.

5.

Open the trunk lid and torque the 10 mm striker bolts to 3.8 ft lb.

6.

Check the trunk lid opener cable adjustment (see Figure 2). Adjust as needed.

7.

Re-install the trunk finisher.

Procedure 2

Replace the trunk switch with the one shown in the Parts Information section of this bulletin.
