Axle Shaft: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

-

Remove wheel bearing lock nut.
Brake caliper need not be disconnected.
Do not twist or stretch brake hose when moving component

-

Remove strut lower mounting bolts.

-

Remove brake hose clip.

-

Separate drive shaft from knuckle by slightly tapping it.
When removing drive shaft, cover boots with shop towel to prevent damage to them.

1. Remove right drive shaft from transaxle.
2. Remove left drive shaft from transaxle.
