10.
Drill a 19 mm (3/4 inch) diameter hole in the sheet metal at the location marked in step 9 (see Figure 3).
NOTE:
It may be necessary to remove the muffler assembly to provide clearance for drilling.
11.
Spray the new drilled drain hole a minimum of three times with Nissan Rust Preventative (P/N 999MP-AE001P) and allow to dry properly.
12.
Lower the vehicle on the hoist.
13.
Open the trunk. Feed the sunroof (black) and antenna (clear) drain hoses back into the wheel well.
14.
Feed the sunroof drain hose into the original drain hole.
15.
Feed the antenna drain hose into the new drilled drain hole.
16.
Raise the vehicle back up on the hoist.
17.
Adjust the length of the antenna drain hose in the new drilled hole so that the end of the hose will extend 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) from the edge of the
grommet, when installed (see Figure 4).
18.
Install a new grommet listed in PARTS INFORMATION onto the antenna drain hose and secure it to the opening of the new drilled hole (see
Figure 4).
19.
Adjust the length of the sunroof drain hose in the original drain hole so that the end of the hose will extend 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) from the edge of
the grommet, when installed (see Figure 4).
20.
Re-install the original grommet (retrieved in step 8 ) onto the sunroof drain hose and secure it to the opening of the original drain hole (see Figure
4).
21.
Remove and replace the power antenna assembly with the assembly listed in PARTS INFORMATION.
