Shift Solenoid: Component Tests and General Diagnostics

A/T 1ST Gear Function

COMPONENT INSPECTION 
Shift solenoid valve A and B 

Resistance check 
Check resistance between terminals (1), (2) and ground.

Operation check 
Check solenoid valve by listening for its operating sound while applying battery voltage to the terminals (1), (2) and ground.
