17. Remove O-rings from cylinder block and oil pump body.

Installation 

1. Install aluminum oil pan.

a. Use a scraper to remove old liquid gasket from mating surfaces. Also remove old liquid gasket from mating surface of cylinder block, front

cover and steel oil pan.

Remove old liquid gasket from the bolt hole and thread.

b. Apply sealant to front cover gasket and rear oil seal retainer gasket.

c. Apply a continuous bead of liquid gasket to mating surface of aluminum oil pan.

Use Genuine RTV silicone sealant or equivalent.
