INTRODUCTION
Nissan has determined that some 2001 and 2002 model year Nissan Maxima vehicles may have a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. On some
vehicles there is a possibility that the attachment pin at the end of the front suspension transverse link on the left and right sides may break at the rear
mounting bracket to the frame. This may cause a knocking sound and abnormal steering. This may result in difficulty controlling the vehicle which, if
ignored, could cause a crash.
IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
Nissan has assigned identification number R2006 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature
dealing with this campaign.
