VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN - FUEL INJECTORS & HOSES

This bulletin provides supplemental Parts Information to NTB96-010b

Prior bulletin NTB96-010c explained that a dealer net price change on fuel injector campaign kits was effective March 25, 1996. The bulletin detailed
two procedures available to dealers to obtain fair credit for the kits purchased before March 25, 1996. Procedure 1 (one), which remains in effect, allows
for automatic reimbursement to dealers at the higher prices (those in effect before March 25) if repairs are completed by April 15 and campaign claims
are submitted by May 15, 1996.

The second procedure allowed for dealer return of injector campaign kits for a one-time parts return credit (RFO) for those parts not usable on campaign
repairs by April 15, 1996. This procedure is no longer available, and is replaced by a new procedure, which is also automatic in assuring reimbursement
at the earlier higher dealer net prices (for kits purchased at the higher prices). The procedure will utilize Nissan's computer maintained records, and will
not require any request from dealers. The process will be as described below:

Shipments of campaign injector kits since March 25 (shipped at the new lower prices) will be subtracted from shipments of kits between January,
1996 and March 24, 1996.

The result will be identification of all kits eligible for the higher price.

Kits used and claimed on repairs, as described in procedure 1, will be subtracted.

The result is the remaining inventory of injectors eligible for reimbursement at the old higher prices.

The difference in pricing will be applied to the "remaining inventory."

The result will be a net credit amount, which will be detailed on the non-vehicle dealer statement for May, 1996 activity.

The specific kit part number, dealer net price before and since March 25, 1996, and the pricing difference applicable for each eligible kit is:

In the event of any dealer-to-dealer trade or sales of eligible kits at the lower prices, dealers must reconcile any parts pricing credits among themselves.

This new second procedure is being implemented to ensure reimbursement of all eligible parts at the higher price, without encumbering dealers with
unnecessary administrative complexity. It also ensures the capability of dealers to hold kits, which they have earmarked for installation on specific
vehicles (but for which installation has been delayed because of the lack of availability of other required parts), without risk of receiving lower
reimbursement for such kits. Reimbursement for campaign kits used in repairs completed after April 15, 1996 will be at the lower kit prices, but credit
for the difference in the new vs. old prices will be made through this new procedure, for eligible parts.
