Adjustment Of Trimmer - Potentio Balancer Resistor

ADJUSTMENT OF TRIMMER

When auto amplifier and Potentio Balance Resistor (PBR) are replaced, adjust trimmer in accordance with the following procedures.

1.  Turn ignition switch on.
2.  Disconnect auto air conditioner harness connector from PBR and measure voltage between terminals of check connector for PBR.

Voltage between terminals of check connector: 4.5-5.5 volts

3.  Connect auto air conditioner harness to PBR and set air mix door (PBR) in full hot condition. (Full hot condition can be obtained either by setting

Potentio Temperature Control (PTC) at full hot or by disconnecting connector for in-vehicle sensor, etc.)

4.  Measure voltage between terminals of check connector again and adjust trimmer so that voltage is half of that measured in step 2.

Voltage between terminals of check connector: 2.25-2.75 volts
