Loosen the pinion housing lock nut (Figure 9). Slide the cylinder assembly and rack from the pinion housing (Figure 10). Slide the rack out of the
cylinder assembly. Note that the rack only comes out one way. Remove the inner tube from the pinion housing. Be careful not to lose the plastic
inner tube collar on the inner tube assembly (Figure 11).

Use a punch to gently tap the pinion bearing(s) (Figure 12) and old pinion housing oil seal out of the pinion housing (Figure 13).
