This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has
determined that some 1985 and 1986 Maxima vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety standard No. 212 -- Windshield Mounting. This
standard establishes windshield retention requirements for motor vehicles during collisions. The nonconformity may not exist in every vehicle.

In the event of certain types of front end collisions, the portion of windshield retained may be less than required by the above standard. This could
increase the possibility of occupant injury in the event of a collision. To reduce the possibility of injury as a result of this nonconformity, vehicle
occupants should wear their seat belts at all times as specified in the vehicle's owner's manual.

All authorized Nissan dealers have service instructions and repair parts. Please make an appointment with your dealer to have your Maxima corrected
free of charge. The correction will involve the application of additional adhesive to the bottom of the windshield. This free service will take
approximately one hour.

Please bring this notice with you when you keep your service appointment, for it contains pre-printed claim information designed to satisfy
record-keeping requirements specified by the federal government. If the dealer fails, or is unable to make the necessary repairs free of charge, you should
inform the Consumer Affairs Office at the appropriate Regional Office listed in the back of the Warranty Booklet. Or, you may contact the National
