Remove the nuts (indicated by the circles in Figures 4 and 5) from the front LH and RH side of the fuel tank.

If you are installing the aluminum kit:

First, remove the 10 mm bolts (indicated by arrows in Figures 4 and 5) from the front LH and RH existing wheel well splash guard.

Then go to step 6 (Under the "Aluminium Fuel Tank Shields" Procedure).

If you are installing a plastic kit, go to step 7 (Under the "Plastic Fuel Tank Shields" Procedure).
