If a leak is found and repaired, submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line using the claims coding shown.

If NO leak is found and the ECM is reprogrammed, submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line using the claims coding shown.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Perform CONSULT-II Self Diagnosis

1.

With CONSULT-II "ON", print the Freeze Frame data as follows:

[START (Nissan)] >> [ENGINE] >> [Self-DIAG Results] >> [F.F. Data] >> [PRINT]

2.

Attach this printout to the Repair Order.

The Freeze Frame data that you've printed contains the ECM Part Number (P/N).

Figure 1 is an example of the F.F. Data printout.

3.

Perform "DTC Confirmation" for the code(s) stored in Self Diagnosis.

Use the appropriate Electronic Service Manual (ESM) and follow the procedure(s) exactly.

If a leak is found (DTC detected), use the appropriate ESM procedure to repair the vehicle. Then, proceed to ECM Part Number Check.

If a leak is not found (no DTC detected), proceed to ECM Part Number Check.
