If the part numbers on the Label exactly match either one of the highlighted numbers shown in Figure 3, this bulletin does not apply. Do
NOT replace the alternator.

Re-assemble the vehicle.

Re-set all radio station presets.

^

Submit a claim for the inspection and return the vehicle to the customer.

If the part numbers on the Label do NOT exactly match either one of the highlighted numbers shown in Figure 3, replace the Alternator.
Refer to the 'Alternator Replacement Procedure".

NOTES:

Alternators with part numbers on the labels that do not match the above examples EXACTLY should be replaced under this campaign.

If the alternator cannot be positively identified (i.e.: missing label or unreadable numbers on the label) the alternator must be replaced.
