Loosen both bolts. Driver side bolt shown in Figure 5.

Shift or move the center console so that when you open and close the lid:

The sides of the cup holder lid are parallel to the lid (Figure 1)

There is no contact between the rear corner edge of the cup holder and center console (Figure 2)

Tighten the bolts.

If the cup holder lid is parallel and doesn't contact the opening, the repair is complete.

If the cup holder lid isn't parallel or it's still making contact, continue with the next repair.

The pin within the cup holder lid button may protrude (stick out too far) from it's housing and it might "bottom out" on the base not allowing
enough "stroke" for the latch to open /close the lid properly.
