Confirm there is at least 5 mm clearance between the black metal tubes and the front of the LH shield (see Figure 11).

Adjust the shield as needed to obtain at least 5 mm of clearance.

Plastic Fuel Tank Shields

Install the LH and RH new fuel tank shields as follows.

a.

Remove and discard the blue plastic tape from the new shields.

b.

Insert tabs on the shields into the mating vehicle under-body holes.
