Remove the oil pressure switch harness clip and connector.

Remove the air conditioner compressor switch harness connector.

9.

Remove the alternator and air conditioner compressor belt.

Refer to section EM in the Service Manual (ESM).

Remove the idler pulley.

11.

Remove the alternator mounting nut using power tools.

12.

Remove the "through" bolt (alternator mounting bolt # 1).

13.

Disconnect the alternator connector.

14.

Remove the B terminal nut.

15.

Remove the ground harness clip and ground harness mounting nut.

16.

Remove alternator mounting bolt # 2, using power tools.

17.

Remove the alternator bracket mounting bolt and alternator bracket.

18.

Remove the alternator from the vehicle by pulling it up towards the top of the engine.

NOTE:

The alternator will come out easier if you move it towards the battery and then move (pull) it up towards the top of the engine.

Installation:

1.

Install the alternator in reverse order of removal.
