This bulletin amends NTB03-065. This version amends the Applied VIN's, Applied Date, I and Service Procedure. Please discard all paper copies of the
earlier version.

2003 - 2004 Murano (Z50)

APPLIED VINS:
2003 Murano - all VIN's

2004 Murano - built up to JN8AZ08 T (*)4W 203356, or JN8AZ08 W (*)4W 305397

APPLIED DATE:
Vehicles built up to October 3, 2003

IF YOU CONFIRM:

Steering noises (might be described as a popping sound), and/or

^

The steering wheel alignment changes.

ACTIONS:

^

Make sure the steering rack mounting bolts and nut are tight and torqued to the factory specification.

^

If needed:

a.

Remove the steering rack mounting bolts and nut.

b.

Clean any loose or excess paint, or other debris that may be on the bolts, threaded bolt holes, and/or mounting bracket surfaces.

c.

Perform front wheel Toe Adjustment.
