Rear Wiper and Washer System

Removal and Installation of Rear Washer Nozzle

1. Remove high-mounted stop lamp.
2. Remove the rear washer nozzle mounting screw and remove it.
3. Note the following, and install in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten rear washer nozzle mounting screw to specified torque.

Tightening Torque : 0.4 Nm (0.04 kg-m, 4 in-lb)

CAUTION:

-

After tightened rear washer nozzle mounting screw, make sure that the rear washer nozzle does not come off when it is pulled downward at 49
N (5 kg, 11 lb) as shown in the figure.
If the washer nozzle come off, replace it together with a new high-mounted stop lamp assembly.

Check Valve

-

A check valve is provided in the washer fluid line. Be careful not to connect check valve to washer tube in the wrong direction.
