This bulletin has been amended. Applied Vehicles has been updated to include the 2008 Altima Coupe. Please discard all copies of the earlier version.

IF YOU CONFIRM
There is a squeak noise when the brake pedal is pressed.
ACTION
^ Check the stop lamp switch.
^ Replace the stop lamp switch if it is the noise source.
^ Refer to the BR section of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for additional service information.
^ Press the brake pedal to confirm the squeak has been resolved.
NOTE:
^ If you confirm the stop lamp switch is the source of the noise, if it should occur, do not replace the brake pedal assembly or Automatic Speed Control
Device (ASCD) brake switch for this issue.
^ Do not spray lubricant on the stop lamp switch for this issue, if it should occur.
