NOTE:

The plastic clip is attached to the three black metal tubes located at the front driver's (LH) side of the fuel tank (see Figure 3).

a.

Using a pair of diagonal / side cutters, cut off the anchor portion of the white plastic clip (see Figure 3a).

b.

Slide the plastic clip down the metal tubes to the point shown in Figure 3.
