Steering Lock Inspection

1.

Make sure the steering wheel is centered (front wheels are straight ahead).

2.

Turn the ignition knob to the ON position.

3.

Press the brake pedal.

4.

Move the shift lever to N (neutral) position.

5.

Turn the ignition knob to the OFF position.

NOTE:

The knob will stop at the OFF position. With the A/T in the N position the ignition knob will not turn to the lock position.

6.

Turn the steering wheel 90 degrees to the left and then back to center.
