Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors shown in Figure 19.

Make sure the ignition knob is in the lock position and the steering wheel is locked.

CAUTION:

If the steering wheel is not locked before the lock cylinder is removed, the steering wheel lock may not work after the new lock cylinder is installed.

Remove the 2 anti-theft bolts from the lock cylinder and remove the lock cylinder from the steering column.

NOTE:

A sharp punch and hammer can be used to loosen the bolts by tapping the bolt heads counterclockwise.
