Apply the rest of the clear tape under the gutter (trunk interior) per the instructions.

14.

Apply two pieces of butyl gum, one on each end of the clear tape, to completely seal the corner area.
Be sure to press the added butyl gum into the existing butyl gum to provide a complete seal around the wires.

These steps will help insure that water will not leak into the trunk.
