STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove the spiral cable. Refer to See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair.
2. Remove the screws and remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Reset the neutral position of the steering angle sensor. Refer to  See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Adjustment Of Steering Angle Sensor Neutral Position/Special Repair
Requirement/Type 2 - Hill Descent Control/Hill Start Assist/VDC/TCS/ABS.

CAUTION:
Any time the steering angle sensor is removed and installed or replaced, you must reset the neutral position of the steering angle sensor.
