Remove the roof console by carefully pulling it down until the four metal clips, on the backside of the console, are released (see Figure 2a).

Disconnect the following vehicle wire harnesses from the roof console (see Figure 2b):

Map light harness connector

^

IVCS harness connector (if applicable)

^

Compass/temperature unit (if applicable)

^

Sunroof switch harnesses (if applicable)

4.

Once the vehicle harnesses are disconnected, remove each harness connector from the lid box assembly as follows:

A.

Break off the connector mounting tab at its base by twisting it (see Figure 3).

CAUTION: 

Do not attempt to remove the harness connector(s) from its mounting tab as this can cause damage to the connector. Break off the mounting tab
FIRST, then proceed with step B.
