Install the new idler pulley assembly. See the Parts Information section of this bulletin. Use the following Inspection & Adjustment
procedure to adjust the belt, then torque the pulley assembly nut to 22.4-28.9 ft-lb (30.4-39.2 N.m).

Inspection & Adjustment

1.

Inspect the belt for cracks fraying, wear or oil adhesion. If necessary, replace with a new belt.

2.

With the engine cold, push on the belt midway between the pulleys to check the drive belt deflection (belt tension).

3.

Adjust the belt if the deflection exceed the limits from the table shown.
